Well, I finished checking and piecing my directions for my Corner Stars Quilt pattern--available for free dowload on my previous post. (http://moderntraditionquilts.blogspot.com/2013/02/corner-stars-quilts-free-pattern.html). The pattern checked out, so I decided to re-name the charm square version "Twin Sisters Quilt" after the constellation.
Here's how they look all pieced:
Don't you just love how bold the Amy Butler fabrics look? I do. My husband kept teasing me that I can't post this until it's all quilted. Well....they're not quilted but I do have a post! :)

Corner Stars Quilts--Free Pattern
Just for fun, I thought I would share--for free, my newest quilt pattern. To get a free dowload of it, click on the link:

I call it Corner Stars Quilts. It is both scrap-friendly, charm square friendly and layer cake friendly.
Thanks to Work In Progress Wednesday http://freshlypieced.com for helping me to share this with you. If you like it, please become a follower on my blog. Thanks! :)
I am still checking the pattern and am making it from a scrap bag of "Love" fabric by Amy Butler. This modern fabric would look great in both modern and scrappy charm square versions.
Here are watermarked layout pictures (I have to watermark it to protect my copyright).
In other news...I've quilted more projects. I've quilted yet another top. I was planning on just micro-stippling in the back ground of the applique but had felt this sort of "yin-yang" feeling while doing it and wanted something to contrast with the nubbiness of the stippling so I quilted the other side using straight lines and measuring using the width of my presser foot.
Here's the completed quilt on my bed.
Until next time, happy quilting!
